Local Body 2010 Series
PRESENTER
Dunedin Television is proud to offer its viewers a chance to see their local body candidates in action in the lead up to elections. For this election we seek a new presenter who can anchor a series of programmes that reflect the concerns of our region to the nominated Candidates.
The successful candidate will:
Have good general knowledge of local events and be enthusiastic about politics. Boast a no-nonsense journalistic approach with a commitment to accuracy. Be a highly capable interviewer and be comfortable in front of camera. You will be self-motivated, calm and effective under pressure. You can be part of a grass roots, local television project that will give you the opportunity to further your media career and develop your broadcasting skills.
You must be available for work during the week commencing August 30 through to September 17. Hours required may vary depending on the final show structure and format. Local Body Election Series 2010
The 2010 local elections will be held in September /October and Channel 9 - Dunedin Television is looking for a talented presenter to host a comprehensive series of reports and debate shows leading up to these all important local elections.
You will boast a balanced no-nonsense journalistic approach, be capable of interviewing people and hosting debates. You will be selfdriven, calm and have the ability to cope with the pressure of LIVE television.
The successful applicant will have a commitment to along with detailed knowledge of local politics as viewers of Local Body 2010 will expect to see the major issues facing the city, the views of candidates, an explanation of the new systems and questions from the public.
